Where I work: Trika Yoga
One of the perks of being a holistic massage therapist is that I can work in lots of different places. I mainly split my time between my regular practices in Bristol and Saltford, and take on festival work and other massage event work elsewhere.
In this post, I’d like to introduce you to one of the rooms that I like to use while I’m working in Bristol. It’s called Trika Yoga, and I’ll tell you a bit about why I like it, and why I enjoy treating clients there.
What is Trika Yoga like?
Trika Yoga is located on North Street. It offers yoga and pilates classes, wellbeing events, and a friendly vibe which immediately makes me feel welcome and settled. It's been there around ten years, and I’ve been working there for over two.
My massages takes place in studio two, which is the adjacent room to the main yoga studio. Some of you will know it because you have had a massage there before. Studio two is a calm, clean space with tranquil lighting, lots of heating to keep you cozy in winter, and air-condition to keep you cool during the warmer months - which as you may imagine, has been a lifesaver this summer!
When am I working at Trika Yoga?
I have three booking slots that I work each Monday morning, at 9:15 a.m, 10:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m., and Trika Yoga uses an easy online booking system so you can book directly with them.
I offer all of my usual treatments there, which can be anything from deep tissue to pregnancy massage. In recent months I have treated a lot of pregnancy and postnatal clients there, and these are massages which I really enjoy doing.
Ultimately, the treatment is always tailored to each individual client and each individual session, so feel assured about this when you walk through Trika Yoga’s doors.
Four reasons why I love working at Trika Yoga:
1. There’s a great community with lots of amazing people. Sometimes yoga teachers, sometimes other massage therapists or people who help out, are in the building so I absolutely love seeing whoever's on reception.
2. It’s a really positive, welcoming atmosphere. As someone who's self-employed, it's lovely to have some colleagues in that sense.
3. It’s nice being in a studio. It's a spacious place where I can get in a few stretches between clients.
4. I love that it's on North Street. It's a prime location with loads of places to grab a coffee or bite to eat, browse some shopfronts, or admire the street art.
How to book your Trika Yoga massage
So there we have it. Trika Yoga is a wonderful place to have a holistic massage, and if you’re interested in yoga and workshops in a welcoming and restful space, then I highly encourage checking them out.
A few things to be aware of: Booking one of my three Monday morning massage slots can be done exclusively through Trika Yoga’s own booking page online. This means that if you have one of my massage gift cards, you won’t be able to use it at Trika Yoga. Additionally Trika Yoga has a slightly different booking and cancellation policy to myself. Payment is taken in advance through their website.
